Okay, this one’s a bit different. It’s not a product. It’s not an app. It's not my own story (kind of). It’s a group. It’s a challenge.
It’s the 52 Peaks Challenge — and it completely changed the game for me.
A Little Backstory…
A few years ago, if you'd asked me to go for a walk down the street, I would’ve laughed in your face, grabbed some cake, and curled up on the couch. Exercise? Hiking? PEAKS?!
No thanks.
(That story’s for another day… but trust me, it’s a good one.)
Then one day I decided to try something new — this wild hiking idea. So I did what all curious modern-day adventurers do…I searched Facebook.
I stumbled across a few groups, but one stood out immediately — it pulled at my heart and spoke to the crazy little spark in me that was ready for change:
The 52 Peaks Challenge
Founded by the amazing Annica and Paul this group started as the 22 Peak Challenge, and has grown into a full-blown hiking movement across Australia and New Zealand.
The idea is simple:
✅ Collect peaks throughout the year
✅ Hike in groups for safety and friendships
✅ Explore stunning locations
✅ Support each other every step of the way
They even provide an official list of qualifying peaks — and members can tick them off at their own pace. You don’t have to be fit. You don’t have to be fast. You just have to show up.
The Heart of the Group 💛
What makes this group so special isn’t just the mountains…It’s the people.
I’ve met some of the kindest, funniest, most down-to-earth legends through this challenge. It doesn’t matter if you’re a total newbie or a seasoned hiker — everyone’s there to help, support, and cheer you on.
Not sure what to pack? Ask.
Nervous about your first peak? Ask.
Only hit 3 peaks this year? No one cares — they’re PROUD of you.
The community is filled with incredible knowledge, advice, and most of all… motivation.
What It Gave Me
Joining the 52 Peaks Challenge gave me more than hikes. It gave me:
✨ A reason to get out of the house every week
✨ A connection to nature
✨ A sense of achievement
✨ A whole bunch of brilliant friends
✨ And most surprisingly… a whole new life path
I only reached 14 peaks last year — but guess what? Nobody judged me. I didn’t feel guilty. I felt ALIVE.
This challenge pulled me through one of the toughest stages of my life, and now… here I am.
Mumma Dingo Adventures exists because this group gave me the confidence to get moving and keep going.
Final Verdict:
💯 Would recommend. Even if you only reach one peak — you’ve already climbed further than you were yesterday.
The 52 Peaks Challenge is more than a list. It’s a community. A journey. A mindset shift. And if you're even considering joining — do it.
It just might change your life too. Click here to join the adventure: https://52peakschallenge.com/
