Product Review: Firm ABS Leggings
Note to self: Facebook marketing has me wrapped around its little finger. Once again, I got sucked in by those sneaky ads. This round? Firm ABS leggings.
Now, I’ve clicked on plenty of “game-changing” activewear ads before, and most of the time it ends in heartbreak (or at least buyer’s regret). But these leggings? They actually delivered… well, mostly.
First Impressions
The shipping was faster than I expected — only about 1–2 weeks before my leggings arrived, which in online shopping land is basically express.
Opening the package felt like Christmas. The fabric? Buttery soft. Silky smooth. Stretchy in all the right ways. Cool to wear, flattering on the legs, and comfy enough that I immediately thought: uh-oh, these could be dangerous for my bank account.
And flattering? Let’s just say my husband now has a new favourite hobby every time I wear them — giving my backside a cheeky tap as I walk by. Clearly, the leggings are doing their job.
The Downsides (because honesty is everything)
As much as I wanted these to be perfect, a couple of things made me go hmmm.
1. Waistband roll-over.Now, I’m not going to pretend I didn’t enjoy winter comfort food. A few extra kgs later, the waistband was rolling down more than I’d like. Fine if you’re lounging, but a bit of a pain when you’re hiking, climbing hills, or bending over to wrangle kids and backpacks.
2. Pocket placement. This was the biggie for me. The cargo-style thigh pockets sounded great in theory, but on the trail? Not so much. They felt awkward, bulky, and I never trusted my phone in there. I need deep hip pockets — somewhere secure and easy to reach because my phone is my everything when hiking (camera, GPS, emergency snake spotter, you name it).
Final Thoughts
Even with the quirks, I ended up grabbing two pairs: safe, reliable dark grey, and the brightest pink I could find (because sometimes subtle isn’t in my vocabulary). I wear them both a lot, but for hiking specifically? They’re not quite perfect.
Would I buy again? Yes. But next time, I’ll go for a style with better pocket design and a waistband that plays nice with snack-loving hikers like me.
Pros ✅
Incredibly soft and flattering fabric
Stretchy, breathable, comfy
Quick shipping
Gorgeous colour options
Cons ❌
Waistband loves to roll if you’re carrying a little belly (we’ve all been there)
Cargo thigh pockets just don’t cut it for hikers
Verdict 💬
Worth the money and then some. Perfect for lounging, school runs, gym sessions, or casual adventures. For hiking though? I’ll be sticking to leggings with better hip pockets next round..
